Dr. Jade Malay, DC
Dr. Jade Malay, DC, is the founder of Apex Physical Medicine and has practiced in the Dallas area since 1992. Her foundational specialty is chiropractic care, which includes neck, back, and sciatica pain. The range of specialties is broad but connected. The root of each condition ranges from lifestyle choices to diet, work, lifestyle, or environment. She finds and treats the cause of problems, not merely the symptoms.
She also leads her industry in a non-invasive treatment for lower back, neck and sciatica pain caused by bulging or herniated discs. For true non-surgical decompression, she uses the DRX 9000 and DRX 9000C, new technologies for gentle, yet effective, results.
Using technology to improve quality of life extends to other areas of her practice as well. She and the medical staff are experienced in the use of lasers for muscle, joint pain, and the burning skin sensation or tingling of neuropathy. She is certified from Bridgeport University in the following areas: mastering functional blood chemistry, functional blood chemistry analysis, and mastering the thyroid. She is experienced in the area of clinical nutrition as it applies to various metabolic issues and its affects on the muskuloskeletal system and the body as a whole. She is a graduate of Lewisville (Texas) High School and proud Baylor University 1988 alumni. She received her Doctorate of Chiropractic degree from Parker College of Chiropractic in 1992. Her postdoctoral degrees include a diplomate in Chiropractic Orthopedics, of which there are less than 400 across the United States.
Dr. Jordan Pastorek, MD
A United States Air Force veteran, Dr. Pastorek attended the Euro-NATO Joint Jet Pilot Training program to earn his Air Force pilot wings. In the following years, he graduated from Louisiana State University at Baton Rouge and successfully completed medical school in 2002 at the Health Sciences Center in New Orleans, Louisiana. Dr. Pastorek finished his residency at University Medical Center in Lafayette, Louisiana in 2007.
Jessica Gerhart FNP, DC
Jessica is a Board-Certified Family Nurse Practitioner with an innate passion for promoting health and wellness in the community. Born and raised in northern Iowa, Dr. Gerhart was introduced to chiropractic at an early age as she was an avid athlete. Dr. Gerhart attended the University of Nebraska-Lincoln where she received a Bachelor’s degree in Nutrition Science. She then moved to Dallas and attended Parker University where she obtained a Doctorate in Chiropractic as well as a Bachelor’s in Health & Wellness. Dr. Gerhart chose to pursue further education and acquired a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Nursing in 2012 and in 2014, obtained a Master’s of Science in Nursing, with a Family Nurse Practitioner specialization. She is a member of the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners and received her Nurse Practitioner license to provide complete care for her patients.Dr. Gerhart has always had a passion for promoting optimal health and well-being with every individual she encounters.
Hesper Lana Fang, PT, DPT
Hesper was born in Ann Arbor, Michigan, but she moved to Texas as soon as she could. She earned her Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree in 2017 from UNT Health Science Center in Fort Worth, TX. Hesper is passionate about providing patient-centered care and believes that physical therapy has the power to change lives. An active member of the Texas Physical Therapy Association and American Physical Therapy Association since 2014, Hesper has been vocal about the importance of physical therapy in the healthcare continuum. While still in school, she worked on research projects pertaining to Animal-Assisted Therapy and diabetic foot ulceration, both of which were posters presented at Texas Physical Therapy Association and American Physical Therapy Association Annual Conferences in 2016 and 2017. Her research project titled, “The Effects of Animal-Assisted Therapy on Older Adults with Dementia” was presented at the World Confederation for Physical Therapy Congress in Cape Town, South Africa in 2017. Hesper has had the opportunity to practice in multiple settings and locations including in Hawaii and Malawi, Africa. She enjoys bringing her eclectic approach into her physical therapy practice. Her hobbies include birding, watercolor painting, and learning to playing the guitar.
Anneshia Scott, DC
Dr. Anniesha graduated from Parker University in 2010. As a Kansas native, she received her BA in Human Biology from the University of Kansas. Dr. Scott currently resides in Plano, TX with her husband and 3 children. In her off time she serves on the worship team at Grace Revolution Church in Irving , TX. Dr. Scott has a passion for health and wellness and enjoys educating her patients on exercise and nutrition.
Adrienne has been in the medical field for 7 years. She is a former collegiate athlete. She played volleyball for and graduated from Cameron University with her Bachelor’s Degree in Biology. Adrienne coaches volleyball during her off time and enjoys spending time with friends and family.She has a passion for helping people and enjoys using her sports experience and knowledge as a way to help others.
Scott has been a licensed massage therapist 1999. Scott attended massage school at New Life Massage School in Atlanta, Georgia. Scott has been a team member with Dr. Malay since 2000 and has definitely won the employee longevity award! Scott is the main DRX 9000 decompression technician and has comprehensive knowledge and experience with this machine. Scott also assists with rehab, physical testing, and x-rays. Scott’s passion is baseball. Scott played minor league baseball in his glory days.
Abril Vieyra MA
Abril graduated from Sanford College with her Medical Assistant/ Phlebotomist Certification. She has been working with Apex Physical Medicine for almost 3 years. She enjoys working with patients and providing exceptional customer service. In her spare time she likes to spend time with her family and working out. In the near future, she plans to go back to college and become a Nurse practitioner or Physician Assistant.
Michael Alaimo, PTA, BA
Michael graduated with his Physical Therapist Assistant Associates in Applied Science degree in 2017 from Mt. Hood Community College in Gresham, OR. Originally from Hawaii, he lived for a bit in Japan before moving to Oregon and has finally settled down here in the great state of Texas. Michael has worked with patients of all ages and abilities, and he is well versed in therapeutic exercise. In his free time, Michael enjoys spending time with family and friends, exercising at the gym and testing out BBQ recipes.
Chandler has been with Apex since 2011. She has an A.S. in kinesiology, nutrition, and health science. She is currently working on her B.A. in kinesiology at TWU. Her ultimate goal is to be a physical therapist and continue her work in helping others.
Diana has been with Apex since 2015 as an office assistant. She is currently working on her B.A. in sociology at the University of North Texas. In her free time she enjoys spending time with her family and friends.
Devon has been with Apex since 2018. She attended Texas Tech University, and has been in the medical field for 3 years. She enjoys providing exceptional customer service for our patients, and providing them with the best care. In her spare time she enjoys spending time with her 3 kids and family.
